Our charities have been chosen

In our house meetings this term, each house voted for a charity they would raise funds for during the school year. The house captains and vice-captains in Year 6 made a shortlist for the final vote and explained what each charity did. The outcome of the voting was:

Astor – Centrepoint
This charity helps homeless young people

Nightingale – Glass Door
A local charity that partners with churches to provide shelter and support to people experiencing homelessness. Photo credit: Glass Door.

Drake – Stoll
Stoll is a Fulham-based charity that provides housing to vulnerable veterans. Their work enables disabled or vulnerable veterans to lead fulfilling, independent lives.

Livingstone – WWF
The World Wide Fund for Nature is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. Their mission is to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together.

Doorstep Library
We also decided to keep fundraising for Doorstep Library for the year as we love reading and it is a great local charity.
