STEM club is open to children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2). It gives them the opportunity to explore aspects of science, technology, engineering and maths in a highly engaging and hands-on environment. Activities include practical experiments, investigations, group work, discussion and reflection, but most of all they are fun! The club enhances the main curriculum and activities range from exploring space to building and programming robots. Through it children develop a valuable skill set, including teamwork, independence, reasoning and critical and creative thinking, which will be useful to them in the wider world beyond school. As confidence and interest in STEM subjects increases, so does the motivation to go on and study the sciences in greater detail. The club is an ideal introduction for all those budding scientists and engineers of the future.
