For World Book Day Parsons Green Prep swapped uniforms for character costumes from much-loved books. The costumes, as always, were outstanding, and the creativity and effort that went into bringing their favourite books to life should be commended. Throughout the school, pupils eagerly anticipated the DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) bell and were immediately immersed in their fictional worlds, or focused on gathering new information, upon hearing it ring. The highlight of the day was the workshops run by author and illustrator Omri Stephenson. While the younger children followed the story of an endangered pangolin, the older children learnt of a tale of passion and determination before making their own innovative designs. The creativity, enthusiasm and passion for books was evident across the whole school.
