Tag rugby matches

We enjoyed several excellent tag rugby matches. All of Year 3 travelled to play three tag rugby fixtures against Westminster Under School. It was a lovely afternoon of rugby and all children have made excellent progress. Year 4 travelled to Kew College Prep to play two tag rugby fixtures. Both matches were very competitive, with one try separating both teams. PGP won one match 7-6 and Kew College Prep won the other 6-5. Well done to everyone who took part.

Alien invasion

Year 1’s STEAM project in the first half of the Spring term has been out of this world! Pupils planned and created their own aliens before writing factfiles about them. They worked hard to evaluate their alien and, as you can see, each one is unique.

PGP Poetry Week

This creative week saw pupils from Years 1 to 6 write a poem about hope. The poems are personal to each child both in both the tone and style, and reflect thoughtful yet creative ideas about what hope means to them. We have entered several particularly powerful poems into an ISA poetry competition, which we are very excited about.

Year 1 walkabout

Year 1 enjoyed exploring the local area, where they were tasked with finding physical and human features. They were great ambassadors for PGP on their walk and many locals greeted them with a wave.

Canopic jars

Year 3 are studying the Egyptians so they designed and made canopic jars using coffee cups or crisp tubes and modelling material for the heads. They painted Egyptian-inspired patterns on the jars. Lovely work! You can read about art and the rest of the Year 1 to Year 6 curriculum here.

Year 1 and Year 2 performance

Years 1 and 2 sang their hearts out in their rendition of Eddie the Penguin Saves the World! The catchy songs and clearly spoken lines left an impression on the audience and it was clear to see the amazing amount of effort put into the production. The messages of caring for the environment and never giving up resonated with everyone. Well done.
