PGP Ski Team hits the slopes

Well done to our twelve ski enthusiasts who represented PGP at the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS) Indoor Skiing Championships 2023 at the Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, organised by the National Schools Snowsports Association (NSSA). This was an eagerly anticipated and prestigious competition – a first for our PGP ski team and well worth the effort. A very excited group of twelve skiers across Years 2-6 formed teams to compete against Brockhurst & Marlston House, Guildford High Junior, Cranmore, Danes Hill, Craigclowan Prep, Abbot’s Hill Prep, The Blue Coat School, Hoe Bridge, Lambrook, West Hill Park, The Pilgrim’s School, Yateley Manor, Knightsbridge, Millfield Prep and Crossfields.

We had three teams taking part – U9 Boys, U9 Girls and U11 mixed team. Across two runs everyone raced with style and confidence. Congratulations to the U9 Girls, who came third. In the U9 Boys we came fourth. The U11 Mixed team succeeded in coming first in their group. We are so proud of our first ski team. Their tenacity against some high-calibre competition was astounding and it was a fantastic day.
