Educatus Explorer visits PGP
We recently had a visit from Sarah at Educatus, who toured the school with our head, Dr Edmonds. We were delighted with the resulting Educatus Explorer blog post – it captures PGP perfectly.
- ‘Parsons Green Prep prides itself on remaining fiercely independent and privately owned, with no plans here to be absorbed into a larger group of schools.’
- ‘Dr. Edmonds’ personal experience of living and teaching abroad has made the school particularly supportive of pupils transitioning from different countries and educational systems.’
- ‘The school even hosts its own senior schools fair each autumn to assist families in making informed decisions.’

Art update
Year 2 have been painting lots of colourful textures and patterns for a new piece they are working on. Year 5 have been painting their papier-mâché jars ready for their Ancient Greek-inspired design and decoration. Great work everyone! You can read more about our Art curriculum, as well as other subjects, here.
The French Café
Our French Café transported the children to the charming streets of France, where they conversed with friends and teachers in French. They enjoyed French treats, including baguettes, croissants, and pain au chocolat, immersing themselves in the ambience. Chef Douglas served French-inspired dishes for lunch – they were delicious. A huge thank you to the children, staff and parents who made this day a resounding success.
Sports Day begins
Sports day events got off to a super start with the Year 5 and Year 6 high jump competition. All the children literally threw themselves into the competition and did very well. First place in Year 5 was achieved by Isabel at a height of 1.05m. Well done to all Year 5, and particularly to Axel who came a close second with a 1m jump. The Year 6 event was equally impressive. Well done to Delphine and Caterina, who cleared 1.05m, and to Thomas who jumped 1.15m. First place was achieved by Victor who jumped an incredible 1.20m; so close to the school record, which stands at 1.25cm, achieved by Jakob in Year 6 in 2023.
